That's.... odd.

I've ripped a daisy on an aid fall (the stitching on 2 or 3 pockets blew until I was resting in the end pocket... sort of a screamer, really) - which is more or less what you'd expect to happen.

I'm actually surprised M9's held - but I'm even more surprised the stitching on yours was going under a fairly static situation. That doesn't seem normal to me.

The one I blew was one of the thin BD Dynex ones. I now use a slightly chunkier version (12mm?), but I don't know if that makes any difference to the rating of the stitching.

Maybe just one defective pocket (and the second would have been slightly shock loaded)?

If you hang around by another pocket on the same daisy and gently bounce around for a while/get your kids to hang off your legs/spin around and around on the rotary clothesline to simulate the forces seen in jugging (Mike Law's gear-testing setups have nothing on mine!) does it also start to unravel?

I've always argued that there is higher-than-usual gravity at Camels hump, with the gravitational force getting stronger the closer to the top of Boogie you get. Maybe you've empirically shown this by exceeding the 3kN limit?
