Was happy with the MH Compressor PL in the Gramps over the weekend - very light weight and compressible yet was plenty warm enough sitting around camp at night. The hood is good, would prob fit over a helmet but might be a bit tight. Its fine for Vic winter but I would prob go for something warmer for above the snow line if you plan on venturing there often.

I dont know if I would actually climb in it though - the outer shell doesn't seam like it would be all that durable, would be great for slipping on at belays - except it doesn't have a double ended front zip which means it would be annoying for wearing over a harness and belaying. Cant comment on weather resistance yet.
