Then you need to open your eyes.
Chockstone would be a much better site if he did.

Every post he makes is as accurate and informative as it possibly can be.
He has knowledge on the subject that exceeds every other poster on any of the rock climbing forums.
RC.com is now a far inferior site since he left.

The only problem with Eric is the, 'think they know something when they don't', people that get their nose out of joint when he points out the errors in their knowledge.
When he does it, he simply lays out the truth
The nose out of joint person that now has been shown up to have sad information, then personally attacks him.

Erik only ever points out the errors, he goes at the information, never the person unless that person comes up with the personal attacks. By then, anybody is entitled to defend themselves.

The only problem with Erics threads is that the mods do not nip the personal attacks in the bud.
The real basis to the problem is the posters that simply start these attacks because their cover is blown that do not have the smarts that they claim, and try to cover their arse and regain face by distraction and attack.
These same individuals are the ones who generally are not capable of understanding what they don't know.
They are what needs weeding out of forums, not the like of Eric.
