I use the gri gri for setting 3-4 days a week and I am trialling the new grigri atm. I havent had that rope flip thing happen once and hope it doesnt with 10kg of holds, drills, tools, bolts, etc all hanging off me! I must say, ascending on the new one is far smoother, and I have descended on fat old gym ropes quite easily. I have also used an eddy in the past and just found it too bulky. Given the fact I use a grigri upwards of 30 hrs a week excluding my climbing habits, Im really comfortable on the new one and rate it quite highly. That rope flipping thing may warrant some experiments in the name of job safety though........
