I think I already know the answer but is cat spew on a rope the death knell for that particular length of rope due to the acid? I hate cats. Off to clean it up then.

If it were me it'd be the death knell for the cat, that's for sure!

In fact I'd be tempted to test the rope by tying the cat and 100kg of concrete to one end and launching it off Echo Point a few times.

It will be a menu item consisting of tuna ragu with parmesan on spaghetti, served with a side order of chopped carrots, and Toad in the Hole (whatever that is).

My answer to most of these question is normally it is fine and wash it off.

But as you correctly point out it is acidic. Hydrochloric acid. I'd be cautious. Most likely it hasn't soaked through to the core but the risk is there...

If you get rid of the cat your savings in pet food will pay for the rope.
