The trick is in the order that you put the short ends in. Like you did, do the long sides 1st then the end with the opening on the corner. By doing that 1st the ledge is square when you squeeze the other end in. It is easier when its hanging too because as long as the straps are all the right length it kind of wants to be square anyway. Also the fabric breaks in a little too, which helps with set-up. Once you get it sorted it is pretty cruisy.
