In direct answer to your question regarding hanging fingerboards, here's how you do it.

You make the fingerboard so that it hangs with a forward tilt when you are not hanging from it. Look at the picture below:

As you can see, when nobody is hanging on the board, it tilts forward due to the fact that the rope is threaded through eyebolts fastened to the board.

When a person then hangs from the board, the board will tilt back, but this will be compensated for, and the board should hang in the vertical plane. You can see this in the next picture below.

The last thing you need to know, is that you can adjust the amount that the eyebolt sticks out from the board. This enables you to control the tilt of the board based on your weight, so you can calibrate it to hang perfectly vertical when you hang on it.
