ive just got my mits on one of petzls new hirundos harnesses and its the bomb!!!! ive tried on BD's latest and greatest as well as the arctreryx ones. the petzl on takes the cake by a mile!! fairly comfy, the gear loops are better positioned than the bd one, and its way cheaper than the arcteryx. it also has little sleeve for ur ice-clipper to go straight in, and sits well on ur body. the belay loop is nice and thin so it feels less congested when u have ropes/cows tails/tool-leashes all connected in that region!! it has fixed leg loopd which im sold on!!. people argue taking on/off is a bit harder but ive never been taking my harness on/off heaps and heaps. probably just get a swami belt if i was. it goes on when u rope up, u climb ur route, descend/abseil, rope up back to the hut/off the glacier. take ur harness off and ur done!!!

oh and did i mention its super-light!!!! (and of course light is right!!!)

so id be putting this above all other harnesses out there. andi dont think im alone judging by the fact all the top alpinists are generally climbing in these!!

(off topic, i dont rate BD helmets, get a grivel on, heaps better!!! :D)
