Like so many others i'm getting back into climbing after a decade of doing other sports. I still have my old rack which is made up of...

- wire nuts
- small wire hexes
- large roped hexes
- cams of varying sizes (BD)
- bunch of slings, varying sizes

My question is this: Out of this gear what is still usable / safe.... I assume anything metal will be good (though clarification on this would be appreciated) but not sure about the rest. Things like material on the cams and ropes on the hexes are my main concern as they all look perfect (only used on two trips) but are obviously 10+ years old.

The whole rack has been kept in a box in a dry place for the whole time. The box was kept inside the house.

I'm heading to arapiles later in the year and if i need to get new gear i'd rather spread the cost across several pay checks rather than get hit all at once...... and not eat for a month :)
