NSAIDs are 'designed' for use when you have an acute injury. They don't relieve pain, other than by reducing the inflammation associated with the painful area. There have been a number of studies undertaken which suggest that they slow muscle repair - enough to turn many off them. If you want pain relief, use a painkiller... Are you taking a codeine formulation? Digesic? Or just anti-inflammatories with paracetamol?
