Hey Phil. I have had no real experience with prolotherapy, hence my reluctance to give an opinion. i have not heard of any negative side effects (though there would be those associated with this type of invasive therapy; mostly not very serious).

Co-interventions refer to something else that the patient (guinea pig!) does, or has done to them, aside from the primary focus, in this case the injections. An example of a co-intervention in this instance may be an exercise program, which they do as well having the injections. I have not read the studies the review is based on so I cannot tell you exactly what they were, but I would bet exercise was the co-intervention in most of them.

Tell me the history of your elbow. As much detail as you can.
