I dont think it puts alot of stress on the rope. if you swinging over a bridge 15m wide with about 20-25m of rope out which is wrapped under the bridge its a pretty big arc.
it the rope was tied to the same side you were jumping from and it was like a bungee jump it would be different.

Ill make this short, but one time we did a swing we used dynamic rope instead of static for a portion of the anchor system (not the actual jumping rope) and although we used lots of carpet and rope protectors etc over the edge there was enough stretch in the rope and with the weighted rope it blew the sheath right open and a few strands of the core were cut too by the rubbing of the rope on the edge..
we were all pretty glad we were using a backup tho.

EDIT: to add to this, I've had small climbing falls where I've had more of a shock from he impact.
It was actually almost hard to determine when you stopped falling and started swinging.
