I suffered from lateral epincondyle tendonOSIS for a whille too. I found acupuncture with rest helped alot. After 2 months of that (my case was bad, couldn't carry heavy stuff let alone climb) it eased.
It kept coming back and i went to alot of physicians (spending heaps of $$) and although it got better with massage climbing still aggrevated the hell out of it.

After that i got back into climbing slowly, never crimped again and open handed everything. I also adjusted the way i climb overhung routes, used my feet better and did alot of body tension stuff and learnt what angles causes pain in my elbow. Now i am climbing better than i ever did and i can boulder all day, and it hurts rarely.
Voltaren rapid pills work really well but i wouldnt recommend relying on these too much. Some people may not aggree with this but dont rest it for ages then go climbing and expect it to be ok. You have to build the strength back and if you do this slowly you should be fine.
