Hi,
thanks for everyone's opinion's and information. I already have an appointment with the fracture clinic (I assume they deal withmore than just fractures as their name implies) at the Royal Melbourne early next week that they had set for me when they put it back. I'll attend that and get an opinion off them before looking around for other professional advice.

BTw I should note this wasn't the first time i've done it, back in January/February I first managed to dislocate it in white water (kayaking), but was fortunate in that there was someone around with medical training who put it back immediately so it wasn't out for ~2 hours like this time. However I never really followed up on it then, though I did find some exercises similiar to those trent described that I did do a few times (not quite enough).
