Absolutely!!!! Speaking as a Seconder ... I prefer working my ass off to get protection out of the wall, atleast that way I know that my leader is safe and I'm safe. I had the experience of getting to a piece of pro once and just leaning on it the wrong way it popped out. Luckily enough there was a piece of pro only a foot above it, but that wouldn't have helped my leader too much had something happened at that point. Rest assured if it's wedged in there good and proper I'll hang around to get it out, but if it comes out with me just touching it ... there's a fair chance that I won't be climbing too often with that person in the future, and perhaps not necessarily by choice ...
