Another (swollen) Finger Problem |

A friend of mine had the same thing. He thought it was from crimping so he decided to stick to jugs for a while but any sort of pressure on the PIP joint was really painful. He went to see a physio and had an ultrasound. They basically found an inflamed tendon and a strained ligament and told him rest it for a couple of weeks. My friend found that taping the PIP and DIP joints restricted the movement and hence reduced the pain. Anti-inflammatory drugs can also help. You should probably go and see a good doctor/physio who specialises in sports injuries, as finger injuries are really hard to diagnose. And rest your finger! |
