I think JJ is underselling himself a bit.... when he's redpointing another 26 or 27 at Nowra and the Bluies he's spending an awful lot of time in the overhanging world, and I do believe that a lot of that HIT training is on overhanging walls. I think the last time JJ saw a slab was when he had a few too beers on New Years Eve!
By the way, JJ, have you thought of making the footholds on your HIT training board smaller... definitely bomber for training core strength.
I've started doing interval training as described by Neil Gresham, and it's been great.
Injuries don't seem to happen with longer routes (25-35 moves), and don't need all that many rest days. Campusing and short boulder problems seem to need too many rest days, so I've only been doing them maximum of one a week.
