A man is in a critical condition after a rock-climbing accident in the state's west on Saturday. Ambulance Victoria spokesman John Mullen said paramedics were called to Mount Arapiles about 12.54pm after a man in his seventies fell. "He's fallen about three metres onto a ledge, which was about 30 metres above the ground," Mr Mullen said. "They've had to rescue him and bring him down to ground level." The man was being flown to Melbourne in a critical condition.
