I'm rubbing shoulders with some Everest (and other high peeks)summiters in a week or two so I'll drill them and try to answer your questions. My own experience is much like others.. occasional headaches once over 3000 mtrs.. becoming more frequent over 4500mtrs and head spinning, splitting types close to 6000mtrs. Just relied own water and panadeine.. not much good after a while though. Best remedy...decending about 1500 mtrs.. started day almost incoherrant and perfect by mid arvo after tramping approx 6 hrs.
