ADELAIDE: Looking for climbing partners

Hello,

I'm in Adelaide and looking for local climbing partners (male or female) to climb up at Morialta. I prefer
to top rope there because of the proximity of the ground but my big interest is get back over to
Arapiles as soon and as often as possible.

I'm a little out of shape as I just did 3 winters in a row (Australia>Switzerland>Australia) and I was
pretty much chained to my desk during that time anyway. I reckon I'll come good pretty quickly with
regular climbing. I'll follow up almost anything. I have a couple of decades of experience but it will take
me a little while to get back into leading at grades over 17-18. I'm a very safe, and safety conscious,
climber - hence my advanced years ;-)

If you're a novice I'm happy to pass on my experience and/or provide instruction. I've a fair bit of gear
here for both climbing and camping so if you need anything just ask. I'm happy to consider any
propositions.

While I have the use of a 2-seater van (delivery not camper) and although it's new (-ish) and a fuel
efficient diesel if you have a car that would probably be more comfortable.

I'm trying to get into good shape for the European summer of 2010 because I'll spend a lot of it in
Chamonix (FR) and Vallais (CH) so I want to practice on longer routes offering clean, quick and
efficient climbing.

Get in touch soon, Roger

i'd say that i'd be up for climbing as and when but am likely to offer the above. If you want to sit about drink coffee and maybe do a climb later I'd be agreeable.

I can put you in touch with Sol though egosan on here - he likes "clean, quick and

We'll both be likely to be about between xmas and new year -either at Araps or the Gramps. and various weekends throughout the year. x
