I am moving to Stawell next year for uni. Hoping to do a heap of climbing and looking for people to climb with. Tend to mainly climb moderate trad stuff, like big adventure climbs, but keen for whatever and hope to be climbing a bit harder by the end of the year. Will b in town from mid Jan next year.
Cheers

Duke,
You could try the Western Vic Climbing Club. Although mainly based in Ballarat we climb in the Gramps and at Araps heaps, and have an indoor wall in Ballarat. Follow the link to our website for more info http://www.wvcc.com.au/

Hello Duke
I live at Lake Lonsdale which is half way between Stawell and Halls Gap. I’ve been climbing in the Grampians for over 30 years and tend to prefer climbing long trad stuff. Despite what some say there is a lot of good climbing accessible from the Halls Gap end of the Grampians – Rosea, Bundaleer, Barbican, Dials Range, Redmans to name a few. The number of regular climbers around the Stawell/Halls Gap area tends to vary enormously. Many come for a year or so to work in the outdoor industry then move on. Myself and my regular local partner Peter Cody [Halls Gap] seem to be the only ones who stay on.
If you are still looking for partners when you get to Stawell next year my email is available thru’ my Chockstone profile or you can ring me on 03 5356 4748.

I'm like yoda, but less good at levitating and not very smart.
Someone on another forum again was after knowledge on the New and Spring (I think), and had posted on the alpacka forum. Are you bringing the butt-boats northwards ?
