Hi,

I will be coming down to Melbourne from the 21st December till the 5th of Jan and was hoping to do some day trips around the area to sample the sport climbing on offer.

I've done a little bit of looking around and it seems that around the Melbourne area the best on offer is at Werribee Gorge? (I'm not against doing a day trip out to something like the Grampians, but I figure it's a bit far?) I currently lead around 23/24 but am definitely willing to get on anything harder providing it has good protection! I have never done any trad either, so I will only be getting on sport routes.

If any locals (or visitors like me) want to climb during that period, post a message here, I'm super keen to keep up my newly acquired endurance. You can also email me at mgpullen at gmail dot com.
