Hey! I am going to be moving to Sydney from the States the first week in September and am looking for a partner! I currently climb 3 days a week here and wold love to climb indoors and out. Kinda new to climbing (just picked it up in January). I don't really lead...but I am certified to belay lead in the gym, outside sport, single pitch trad and multi pitch trad. Don't know what my schedual is going to be quite yet...comming over on a work visa and don't have a job yet! If anyone has advice on where to climb indoors and out I would totally love that too!!!!!!

Hi littlelisa, Sydney is a pretty central place for climbing being at the doorstep of the Blue Mountains. So there are a lot of climbers around there. The outdoor scene around the "Blueys" is vibrant , spectacular. You've probably heard about it but better still sounds like you're gonna experience it. There's certainly adventure and entertainment for everyone from begginer to the hardcore. There's also crags around the city and suburbs but Sydney's a big place, depending on where you're from I suppose. 'We're not in Cansas anymore Toto'. Indoors, Sydney has some awesome gyms and probably depends where you shack up as to which one will suit you best. I'd just Google "climb gyms sydney". I might catch ya sometime but I'm not in Sydney, so welcome to Australia, just watch out for drop bears and hoop snakes.

Hey! I'm looking for a partner as well!!!
When do you arrive? And do you have a car, then we could maybe go climbing in the Blue Mountains or Nowra...
Have also got a crashpad for bouldering round Sydney, whatever you want. I just prefer to climb outside!
And got all the climbingstuff except a rope...
