Hi JBM, i'm looking for someone to climb with a bit more frequently and seriously as well although i climb between 3 not so serious (climbers!) friends at the moment. I'm more of an alpinist but need to improve my rock skills and generally get into better shape.

I have a good rock & ice rack and lead 16 Trad and can climb up to 19 in gym and would like to push myself into the low 20's, have done grade 2 snow & mixed alpine routes in NZ, also been on a TMC & SMC there.

I used to climb at the Mill and have now switched to Flemington. Don't have a car so i use PT or mountain bike, Altona might just be a bit far for me though (im in glenhuntly) . Love to get out to Araps or anywhere else for real rock as much as possible. Not very familiar with Victorian rock though.

Want to prepare for a full summer alpine season in NZ so interested in hooking up with someone or more for some lengthy backcountry climbing expeditions (10+ days each) around Aspiring & Cook regions leading up to an ascent of Mt.Cook from November/December onwards. Basing myself in Wanaka YHA probably.

With regard to freeheel, planning a ski ascent of Mt. Feathertop & Bogong if conditions permit in a couple of weeks, from hotham to mt.beauty for 4 or 5 days if you or someone is interested?
