Threads as abandoned as the abandoned hope of all ye who try getting to Araps via public transport.

It can be done, but is a woeful train/bus combo that takes lots of time and features irregular and inconvenient departures and arrivals, as is the case with most non-car country/non-city travel in Oz. I've not done this actual trip (though many like it), but have had it explained by friends who've been damned enough to have to do it.

Sadly, hiring a car would be the better option in a case like this, or else cadging a lift from someone you might meet at a gym mid-week. Most climbers I know are happy to give people rides if they've got room.
