Don't worry about calling mate.. This should be your plan.
Rock up to tonsai (not railey), leave your bag at Freedom Bar or at one of the bungalows then just scout around the bungalows on tonsai to see which is the best deal you can get. There WILL be vacancies and you can always wait for someone to leave at a preferred bungalow if you want. Money talks so bartering with cash up front for a month will get you a better deal. If its an dodge hut bungalow start your bartering around 200b a night and go up from there.. you'll work out what the best deal is tho once you've checked out a few. This year i stayed at krabi mountain view which was lush.. they were asking 700b a night but the place was empty so i got it for 350b pn up front for a month. :)
