OneDayHero,
Thanks for your observations. I am aware, however, that of course sometimes i feel shit, or things just don't work out. I climb the grades i feel a can climb... and since i've been training in various sports for about 8 years, I understand the body is not always operating to the same level as the mind. But I do love climbing. It makes me feel good - so sue me. I'm not a newbie BTW, just haven't been outdoors in a long time, and yeh, so i'm a little nervous about it now. Also currently do not have a car, so travelling to random spots with gear via PT is not high on my list.
To your points- 1) i get that too. Just like running on a treadmill is nothing like running outdoors. 2) as with running - i know, "gym people" annoy me too... but unlike treadmill runners- you don't need anything to step outside and run, yet going climbing outdoors involves a lot of prep and peeps and gear- which i do not have *right now* Give me a break. I'll get out there. Just focusing on other things right now. Let me set a PB in running this year in Oct and then yeh, outdoors climbing and me will become reacquainted. |
