For those wanting to work on your cardio endurance and add unnecessary leg muscle bulk to carry up the climbs (strong legs must help with tradding, no?), then you can join me riding the pushie to altona on tues and thurs nites around 5.30pm. It's only about 15km's from the city centre, gentle downhill and 'gentle' headwind all the way, very pleasant on a sunny afternoon. The safest bike route is to follow La Trobe St to Dynon Rd bike path, then straight for a few k's till the Princes Hwy (aim for Geelong), then stick in the service lanes til Grieve Pde, over the freeway and you are there. And there are always plenty of offers of a lift back to the city with bike (i haven't done the round trip yet).
Anyone keen drop me a line and we'll meet on the way. Ps: the return leg (when i do it) will include a stop for pizza and beer.
