New to Melbourne and near new at climbing

Hi all,

I have recently moved to Melbourne from Sydney and am in desperate need for a climbing partner! In Sydney i climbed at st peters for around 6 months, 2-3 times a week and a grade 18. Im really keen to find anyone who would like to go to a climbing gym regularly and build up to outdoor climbing.

Any Q and A just let me know :D

Hi Andrew

Ive been climbing a while in Melbourne (3 years) and have just lost my climbing partner to travels interstate, I climb around the 18 grade and I'm looking for a new partner to climb at least once a week with. The city gym is most convenient during the week after work 5pm, but would be happy to travel to Altona or nunawading if desired.

Let me know your thoughts if you are still looking for a partner, I can start immediately.

I am also looking to climb outdoors, I have been on VCC trips, climbed Grampians, Werribee gouge with friends, Thailand and the U.K. also bouldering in NZ. I have some equipment, but need a little more (collecting is slow $) I have rope, shoes, harness, nuts, hex + other bits nearly there for top rope trips.

Hi there,
I have been living in Sydney for the last 3 years and will be moving to Melbourne end of March. I love climbing and am looking for climbing partners indoors during the week and outdoors for weekend trips to Araps, Cramps, Buffalo and crags in the surroundings of Melbourne. Have been climbing regularly in the gym (St. Peters) and in the Blue Mountains during my Sydney stay and love both trad and sports climbing. In the Blueis, can lead climb low 20 sports climbs and up to grade 18/19 in trad...however not sure about the apparently stiffer Arapiles grades and really happy to second harder stuff! Have a rope, rack and car (provided it survives the drive down to Melbourne, since pretty old)...

hi there,

im relatively new to indoor climbing but can knock off an 17 or 18 indoor. i have bought all the gear for outdoor top rope and lead, with a view to add the special bits and pieces down the track. i've got rope, rocks, hex's, slings, draws and personal protection gear.

keen to learn outdoor climbing but i am happy to help out and partner as i learn. i try to get to either nunawading or CBD on a friday or thursday night and some mondays during the day.

if anyone is ever stuck for a partner inddors send me a text 0421 474 825 i live in Eltham so Nunawading is close-ish for me but can get to CBD easy enough.

Hey Alex/Andrew - if you're keen to climb in Altona - I'm looking for someone to climb with during the week. My partner works alot of nights and weekends and I'm loosing skills waiting to have time off together. If you like to climb outdoors, I have a full rack/rope/etc as well with lots of free time on the weekends.
