Hi,
I moved here with my wife and two kids at the start of the year and am just getting back into my climbing (boots only arrived start of Feb!).
I've been bouldering at Bayside Rock a few times but would like to get onto the wall too.
If anyone's free on a Mon/Tue/Thurs night from around 6.30pm onwards, then I'd really appreciate it. At the moment I get there on a Tuesday at 8ish for an hour+ of bouldering...that’s enough for now!
I'm afraid I can't tell you what grade I climb at since I haven't climbed an Australian graded climb before but according to the online grade comparisons(!) I’d hope to be leading at around a 19 (indoors). I’m now 30 which means I’ve been climbing on and off for 10 years but that includes some big ‘off’ periods!
I’ve shipped out a basic trad rack too so hope to get outside at some point.
I work in the City so could possibly get to Hard Rock after work on those nights too if that’s easier for someone.
Cheers,
Oli

Hi,
Same situation. Emigrated in December with Wife and Son. My gear has just arrived so I am looking at getting my fitness back. Bayside is on my way home from the office so can probably do any of the nights you listed. Climbed 5b/c indoors in the UK and prefer VD/HVD outdoors. Soloed an HVS once on Birchen edge, but that was a one off!
Strapped for cash till pay day (15th) after paying all the import duty/shipping etc! Let me know your preferred night and I will check with the wife that that day is good.
BTW emigrated from the UK so trying to get used to the Ewbank system, although I believe Bayside has it's own system of grading.

Yes. 1 - 10. 1 being easy and 10 being hard. Even so quite a few climbs are deliberately not graded to try and encourage people to look at the route and make up their own mind whether or not to get on it.

Ah, Don't worry about the Ewbank, Everything is more fun in brittish trad grades.

Everything?
Could you draft up a conversion table of sexual encounters from Ewbank to British?
