I'm coming to melbourne at the end of next week and hoping to settle for a while there. I love climbing and am really keen to get climbing again in aus and to 'get into' the climbing seen in Melbourne, so I'm looking for energetic climbing partners for both indoors during the week and outdoors at the weekend. i don't mind whether it's bouldering, sport or trad, I just love to climb.
please just send me an email if your interested or if you're going away on an adventure weekend (climbing, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking etc) and don't mind a scottish girl tagging along!

email - humphreyslouise123@hotmail.com

Looking forwards to meeting some climbers from Melbourne

I find it amazing that this post got no visible responses but the "other one" generated pages ...

If you don't find other people willing, or the times don't work out, if you're in the city and climbing at Hard rock, you could do worse than join the meetup group: http://www.meetup.com/rockclimbing-115/ whilst I'm not a member, the ones I've met (since they climb on the same nights I do (Monday and Thursday)) seem to be quite friendly and welcoming to newcomers, experienced or otherwise.

If you're climbing outdoors I'd recommend joining the Victorian Climbing Club (VCC): http://www.vicclimb.org.au/ I am a member and most of the regulars seem to be nice people.

Maybe we could introduce Josh to Lou? I second pecheur's suggestion; the VCC is a good way to meet climbers and get on some outdoor climbing trips.

I thought about that, but I wasn't sure she would be interested. Actually come to think of it not knowing Lou's preferences there is a lesbian group that climbs on Mondays at Hard rock, if you're sensitive to that sort of thing be careful which group you get directed to ...
