Hi everybody! I move to Melbourne in August and I'm keen on climbing a little! I plan to make a holliday first and travel a little around and climb (or bouldering would also be funny). I am a sportclimber, but also open for trad style climbing (but I havn't ever done this before!), I climb medium I would say (climbing since about 3 years) and I would prefere girls (but not categorical)
So, if there is anybody out there, don't hesitate!

Poor Damien is feeling left out...
Welcome Melanie. Hopefully you will get some work after first relaxing and climbing a little.
Sorry not to reply in German also but my spelling and grammer are a little rusty!

OK, back to English so no-one gets cranky.
Hmmm, August in Melbourne. Melanie, some people keep climbing but I find skiing more appropriate this time of year! Maybe bring a snowboard as well?
Daytime temperatures range 6C (early in morning) to highs of 12C-16C. Arapiles and Grampians are in the warmer parts of the State but still cold. Ski season usually runs until the end of September by which time I'm ready to get the climbing gear out again.

In light of the veritable feeding frenzy that has erupted here (somewhat akin to a yoghurt truck ploughing into a brick wall) - the flurry of excitment and adolescent hormones, argy bargy, one-upmanship, sleeping lurkers nudged from their deep and lengthy slumber - I can now see why Mel had originally directed the message to females.
PS Mel I reckon I can do more one arm pullups than anyone else here, and I've probably got the best car

This is funny! I wasn't at this forum only for a week and there's a pretty funny discussion running! I didn't ment to speak German, Russian, Chinese or whatelse... ;)
I WANT TO CLIMB!!!! But if it's too cold, maybe I have to search another location! Ahh, you are all writing because it's too cold and you are bored, or under-worked!?! ;)
Does anybody know where you can climb at this season?
Damietta, you are right. Men! It's everywhere the same... ;)
