I'm about 5 minutes away from Browns Rd and have walked through a couple of times having a sticky, but never really climbed there. I'm happy to replace a few bolts with either Us or SS glue in carrots if they're really manky, but the ones I spotted last time looked to be your standard rusty mild steel carrot which should be fine for toproping duties.

You could always take about 5-10 m of rope and tie off to a tree further back as well as the bolts if they're really worrying.
