Laos and Thailand, unpolished and polished

Hi all!
For anyone that is interested I'm keeping a blog about my trip to Laos and Thailand. We all know a lot about Thailand but most of my time will be in Laos which is still, pretty well untouched. Heading to Chiang Mai and Krabi in the land of the Ladyboy. I hope it can give some people a rough idea of what to expect, especially if you're doing it on a budget like me. I'm going to attempt to hitchhike my way around which will bring a Lot of stories. And the climbing, gorgeous limestone in Jurassic park...best way I can describe it! I leave on the 11th of August, going to be Awesome!

where in Laos are you climbing? i have a guidebook for Luang Phrabang, Vang Vieng and also Kong Lor and Thakhek areas. I didnt do any climbing there tho.

i didn't bother with visiting Vang Vieng area but spent a few days around Thakhek doing moto trips and there looked to be some amazing limestone cliffs there!!

All of the places you have mentioned. Going to spend at least 2 months there. Meeting up with a German couple in Tha Khek who are starting an eco climbing village there and am going to help build and hopefully if they have time I'll learn how to bolt. They've bolted a lot of climbs in Laos so I'm hoping to get as much info from them before I leave.
