Climbers, I'm not long back from a week of wilderness climbing in Tassie. Blog posts with many pictures start here.

In 5 days we did one new route, half the traverse and a repeat of the 300m Damocles on the north peak. Wild and intimidating stuff.

You bitch!

I heading out there in 3 days time and now you've taken away the sense of adventure from me!

Seriously though nice work! Reading the TR now.

Thanks for the feedback guys, be pretty interested to hear how you get on out there Patto. Particularly interested in the access for the N-S traverse. The guide seems to recommend heading straight across the creek from the campsite and climbing the scree to the Labyrinth, then presumably following the rim of the valley around to the northern peak. This seems like the long way to do it! I think there's a track that continues past the Foresight gully, but we didn't see it.

And Brendan, I think I climbed with you more than anyone else in 2010! So you'd know, giving up climbing for me probably just means 3 extra weekends a year and more space in my shed.

Anyone want to buy a bouldering wall? Will post it separately soon.
