I'm sure you and Anthony would love the north. It's a much more relaxed and friendly way of life up there and everrything is way cheaper than in the south. There are some great smaller towns around Chiang Mai too. Last year I went to Nan Province, which gets relatively few Western tourists. It was awesome. I also love Bangkok but it's not to everyone's tastes. Around 10M people and crazy traffic and pollution sometimes.
