Derek my M10 love used to have a pet c--katoo once, a fair while ago now.
Apparently it was a lovely bird and he taught it to speak. It had a very wide vocabulary (which I am told included a few naughty words), but its best feature was that it could imitate things extremely well, and over a number of years proved it really was very good at this.
Why, when it imitated Maggie Thatcher or Ronald Reagan you could hardly tell the difference between it and the real thing, some of his back shed (drinking) club friends have said to me.
Well dearies to cut a long story short times went hard for Derek my M10 love for a while there, and in his desperation he ended up having to eat his beloved bird.

I have often wondered what c--katoo tastes like and so I asked Derek what the bird tasted like. Derek assures me that it tasted like the most tenderest and delicious sirloin steak that he had ever eaten. It almost melted in his mouth and was truly a gastronomic delight.
“Is that right?” I queried him rather incredulously, because I had heard that they can be rather tough.
“Yes”, he replied. “I told you it could imitate anything!”

I still sometimes wonder if he is not having a good natured lend of me.
