Mikl,
What about mistake # 9 ?? We got back to the car, absolutely rooted, and started sorting the gear out.
"My battery's in your drill, let's have it then" I said
"Where's the drill?" Mikl
"It was right at your feet when we were stuffing the packs at the cliff edge" I replied
Mikl lifts his pack, decides it's too light for a drill " I haven't seen it, I'll run back and have a look" Mikl.
I feel bad, but don't pipe up to run back myself. We were both stuffed before this happened. I make myself fell better by starting the car, putting the heater on and stuffing half the remaining pastry into my gob.
Now I'm really running late for work. Mikl stumbles back empty handed. Did we kick it off the edge?? We drive into Blackheath car park, unload his gear. I empty his pack and surprise, surprise there's the drill!!
This is an awesome route, as usual great vision by Mikl. Whilst it's all bolted and user-friendly, it is adventurous. Long walk out with a good bush-bash if you have to lower off...
This is the Grose Valley, not the Glen. Stay in the Glen if you don't expect the occasional hold to be sandy, or footer to crumble. Don't slap your way up it, pull off holds and whinge on websites..
