Arapiles is FRIGGIN HOT at that time of year. If you can afford accommodation it will make a HUGE difference to your day. be prepared to only climb early mornings and late afternoons

If you can't pack a tent, perhaps you can't pack a trad rack? Arapiles is all traditional climbing ... I've met many poor souls who rock up to araps with a set of draws and a rope ....

If you don't end up scoring the tent from Bomber Pro, you can get dirt cheap tents in a common shop around Australia called BigW ... I used one of the $25 'two man' tents in which I lived for over four months at one stage, not too bad eh? They are soopa small and soopa light. Kick arse!!!

As for a sleeping mat, BigW also sells $15 2 man boats called 'Explorer 200' that are kick arse for the price. Just chop off the boats sides so you're just left with the base of the boat. Once again, if you're not on a budget, a real mat is always better

Don't forget a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and mozzie repellant

Once again, arapiles is SOOOOOOO hot at that time of year. Bring litres and litres and litres of water. It wouldn't be uncommon to go through minimum 5L a day (2 gallons) ... and that'd be a good day

Just to reiterate ... when I say hot, I mean 40+ deg c, which converts to about 105 - 120 degrees fahrenheit!!!
