Actually been climbing lately instead of surfing, changing nappies, building woodies and talking about climbing.
Went to Buffalo for three days and didnt see another climber on the rock!
Had my arse dragged up kicking and screaming on ANGELS by one of those sick units that actually enjoy sticking various parts of their anatomy into sharp nasty cracks and leaving copious amounts of blood and skin behind. For the more sensible of us I recommend climbing ANGELS in friggin gumboots and welders gloves. I also recommend bringing more than 1 set of size 1--5 B.D cams. Seeing as we didnt, it made some of the more cruxy moves with your last cam 5 meters behind you, shall we say, a little more interesting. (yes i did lead some pitches)
We then decided to climb at Dream world, and what a great place that is. We started on "eat your vegies" which is a quite enjoyable little romp with absolutely no gear between the crux you and the ground, still fun though. Andy then showed hes not only a crack climber by leading "this is not our land". With the rope already up we quickly climbed "spaceman spiff" and "Buffalo soldier" with the later not being a good choice for someone new to the grade due to the lack of protection choices.
The last day was a quick run up two old plonkers from Andy and Medusa from myself before coming home and changing nappies
Arapiles was mostly work but with a little spare time we climbed Im a little asteroid/ dinosaur?, Syrinx,Mantle,Pedro, Golden fleece, and Mind Games, all being of such excellent quality that I dont need to remind you about them. and I finished it off with a game of footy.
