Last weekend a few of us piled in the new crag-mobile and headed down to Araps with the VCC and NZAC ppls. It was a pretty laid back weekend as I'm getting back in after injury, but still worth the effort.

Did Shroud on the Pharos on Saturday, it rained a bit and we had an epic getting the freaking ropes down after the rap off, but it was a good climb. Ran into Noddy briefly. John led it in two pitches, combining the 1&2 and 3&4... which left me with a heap of rope drag climbing second and trailing rope! There were three accidents that day, one broken ankle, one fall and one really nasty fall off the top of I think it was Beautiful possibilites. The ambo's got a work out.

Sunday was positively gorgeous. We did Hell for leather then solo'd Tantalus. By then it was lunchtime and time to head back, but that morning alone was worth it. Can't wait for summer.
