Sounds good, I heard some people were playing around up there from some friends who were skiing on Buller. Was over at Stirling myself on Sat/Sun for some ski touring but carried some ice gear (hey i'm optimistic). On Saturday it was very well frozen around the summit, big patches of ice and the boulders covered in sheets of ice and hoarfrost, so assumed it could only be decent across at Buller still. A little ice bouldering was attempted but it was mainly too thin. BTW big rounded sheets of ice that you pull off while trying to climb smaller boulders make decent toboggans when the ground is iced up. :) On Saturday it started to warm up a lot, but made for a great day of skiing out to Craig's Hut and back.
