I have no idea what that is supposed to mean

Being born and bred in Queensland( but an australian at heart) and growing up playing that strategic and skillful game rugby league, State of Origin is the pinnacle of the sport and I am looking forward to seeing the Blues cop a thorough walloping at the next outing. Bringing back Joey for the blues was a very poor emulation... nay ..imitation of Queensland bringing back little Alfie. The Cauldron will see Joey crumble, that is, if he plays.

"S of O - The State of Origin"
Julian Clark

In 500 years they'll speak of a contest
made all those years ago
of Rugby League supremacy
named simply S of 0

In Australia, Rugby League
was nurtured by two states
NSW and Queensland teams
divided playing mates.

They named it State of Origin
where your first football was played
and since the year of 1980
the first seeds of brilliance were laid.

Beetson, Rogers, Cronin.
Meninga, Miles, 'The King'.
Alfie, Laurie, Freddie.
And Joey - with the ball on a string.

There are more stars just round the corner
but the games mean much more than this.
Interstate pride, an audience world-wide
to experience or just reminisce.

Yes Grandads will tell of the deeds
of generations a long time ago
and children will sit back and wonder
and with them this knowledge will go.

They'll remember this interstate rivalry
'the best of the best' stories told.
And to shine on this feted arena
means the honour to wear green and gold.

So treasure this grand competition
as those who know will attest
that of all Rugby League's great traditions
S of 0 is simply the best.
