With promises of great weather a large group consisting of Lou, Rachael, Steve, Keiren, Dave, Karen and myself headed to Camels Hump for what might possibly the last good weatherday there till next summer.

To start the day, Lou racked up for her first EVER trad lead on Grey Arete (10). Lou climbs double this grade quite easily so naturaly she waltzed up it, but needles to say she was happy to get that first lead done. I followed her, with steve soling close behind me..... Rachael and Keiren also came up. Steve and Lou then top roped Sluts have no honur (21) while Rachael, Keiren and myself went up to the main omega block. Dave and Karen were on Broomstick. Dave climbed it clean and karen did very well but couldnt manage the start. She pulled on the draw and climbed the rest clean. Its just that start that seems to stop so many people.

I led the girls up Wee Ripper (17) and then set up a TR on Evil Brew (20) for them to play on. Both of these routes, although very short, are really good.
While i was setting up the TR dave was preparing to work on his project, Satanic Versus (26). He decided to do Bop till you drop (25) as the rope was already there from when he rapped down satanic. Dave climbed clean again, helps due to the fact hes done the route too many times to count. I was super keen to get on this route, so i had a shot. I pulled through the crux quite easily to my own suprise and managed to climb the route with two rests. I have to say that is a a GREAT route, very technical and sequency. I think if i can get my sequence right i could tick it without to much hassle.
Dave then jumped on Satanic Versus and climbed brilliantly to tick his first 26 in quite a few years. It had been a project for about 4 years, so needless to say he was pretty happy.

To finish the day Steve and I groveled up bloodline.... I still dont like this route.... Feels way to desperate for my liking. I cant imagine what it would have been like before it was retroed.

Neways, that was our day. Hopefully the weather is nice and gives us one more good days weather before it starts to snow up there and im sent packing back to Weribee, youies and black hill.
