G'day all,
After an eternity of being inspiration-free now that I'm back in the beige world of The Road Most Travelled (read: working full-time again), I've finally gotten around to writing another TR for my blog, this time on Tientel (200m Trad 21R) at Pierces Pass, joined (as usual) by the irrepressible Neil Monteith.
The Climbing Obscurist: Back in the Brown (trousers)
Be safe.

Problem is, the photo makes it look good.
Many of these routes were a good day out on the FA, but not really worth a repeat.

I agree, Mike, this route has perfected the art of looking deceptively good in almost every photo I took.
I reckon it's kind of like an Angler Fish... "ooooh, pretty"... CHOMP! Maybe that's how Tientel feeds... Not just on the flesh and bones of the climbers it consumes, but upon their surprise and fear...
I suspect that when the FFA was done after the bushfires, it might have been a bit cleaner, but as it is now it's overgrown, dirty and loose. It's also worth pointing out that we did it after a very prolonged spell of dry weather... with so much vegetation, I can only imagine how torturous it would be after the recent rains.
