Just talking about it the other night with Pat. One of the nicest days climbing ever there, on Flight of the Gull. Never done any of the up routes though.

its not really like point perp at all . but it is definitely well worth a visit . the rock is awesome. great friction. fantastic routes and very atmospheric. wall gets afternoon sun. dont go there on a day with big surf. the topo is available on the sa climbing club website.. make sure you ring the landowner and ok the access before going there.

You sure it's not morning sun and afternoon shade, beefy?
I reckon it's worth checking the tides too before heading down. being around there during a high tide can mean at the least you'll end up getting a little wet (and your gear will get salty). On a really high tide, especially with a bit of swell, you can be trying to swim while belaying on some of the routes on the left side of the cliff.
It is a great place to climb, though. Take a basic trad rack, and get onto some of the trad and mixed lines also. Be sure to get onto Clearing your Mind (19), it's definitely the pick of the sub-20 routes there.
The Carmichaels (land owners) seem pretty good with access. The only time they've turned me away (understandably too, I might add) is on a total fire ban day, when dry grass and exhaust pipes can risk a fire.
