I deliberately avoided discussing bolts as it is always a contentious issue. I would suggest that a voluntary ban on placing bolts would be very sensible in the short term. In the longer term I think that if Ron agrees to new bolts being placed then there is no reason not to place bolts with his permission. I also think he will have no problem with bolt replacement if we explain why they need replacing and how we (Neil et. al.) go about it. Perhaps we could organise a VCC club trip up there and invite Ron along to meet some climbers and climb if he wants to. Maybe about mid March?
