I'm impressed by the pick of the week, but where is Eagle Rock?
Is there a guide somewhere?

On the Hawkesbury River, about 7 or 8 minutes by boat from Brooklyn. About half way between Gosford (Central Coast) and Sydney. No land access, but there's water taxis that leave from Brooklyn.

There's a guide, but I'm afraid it hasn't been published yet (the author is in the middle of writing a Hawkesbury River/Central Coast guidebook)

Thanks for the reply lofty.
After reading rodw's reply it seems like I've touched on a delicate subject.
Guide book authors need to FULLY enjoy pissing in a wetsuit :)

Dont worry about the guide you will be fine with out it - it will be an adventure. Be careful on the scramble up, best to set up some hand lines in the big (lower) cave and on the scramble up from the water.

Search Flickr for eagle rock nsw and you will get plenty of beta for a trip. Or put your hand up next time the crew is going (more people = cheaper taxi?) It does get sun all day so probably better as the temps get a bit colder.

Just do the two pitch access on the far left (facing the wall)...lower pitch ? 17 is okay and the top pitch 16 is a great route
