Li,

My wife and I live in Yarram which is about a 1 hr drive from Venus Bay. My advice, take up surfing instead, there're some great waves around that way.

The closest rock to you is Walkerville South (limestone) most of which is complete choss but there is a bit of bouldering there, with a couple of roof problems and some highball stuff out on bird rock (low tide only), then the next closest would prob' be Cape Liptrap down at the lighthouse (choss).

Other than that, granite at the Prom and at Mt Erica which is kinda scary fun...the bouldering at the Prom is good fun and I can show you some mysto spots too :)

I often work out of Leongatha and Inverloch and do a lot of surfing between the Prom and Wonthaggi (like 3 days a week), so drop me a line sometime and we'll show you around if you like.
