Just a minor clarification - the above implies a common access point to the Magaliesburg crags.
The Magaliesburg is a general area (think Grampians), with many crags, with differing access points, access rules, accepted camping areas etc.
I suspect the campground MartinR refers to in his above post is what I used to know as Mountain Sanctuary Park, and the crag accessed from there would be Cedarberg Kloof.
However, most of the other crags/kloofs don't have campgrounds with facilities - you just park at the designated parking area and pack in to the generally accepted camping area which is usually just above the usual descent into the gorge.
A further issue - access to most of the Magaliesburg kloofs requires either a permit from the Mountain Club of South Africa or you need to go along with a MCSA member. This because the land is mostly privately owned - and not in a public reserve or park.
